what i like most about homegrown music is that it doesn't talk about GUNS,killing one's self, bleeding, etc. etc. haha. kung mapapansin nyo kasi, ganyan ang "trend" ngayon eh.. (if trend is the right word) idunno.. pero yung music na napapakinggan ko nowadays ganyan usually ang theme.. ayoko ng i-mention yung genre ng music na yun. kasi aminado naman ako na ganun ang type ng music ko. i breathe, eat, drink that kind of music. minsan nga lang parang nakakasawa nang maging "malungkot". hehe..

I found Hale's music different from what's common nowadays. It's melodrama, as the band call it. Nakakatuwa nga eh. Example is their first single "Broken Sonnet". Malungkot yung theme nung kanta pero mellow lang ang melody. Hindi masyadong mabigat, hindi masyadong malungkot. Tama lang.

The lyrical content of their songs are insightful, sad, angry, and earnest; producing music with substance and that explores the full range of human emotions. indeed.

well, kailangan ko pang i-explore ang music ng Hale and so far, i'm loving their songs. Here are some of those:

+blue sky
+runaway
+the day you said goodnight
+broken sonnet
+kung wala ka

note: they have atleast 2 tagalog songs in their album. :)

sana lang mapanood ko sila ng live this summer. that's included in my wish list. hehe.

rain will keep on pouring
some things you can't control
and while the sun seems far and hard to hold
it will unfold

there will always be a blue sky

blue sky
